Social drinking 101: How not to get drunk and embarrass yourself in front of people

According to Dr Lui Hock Foong, a gastroenterologist at Gleneagles Hospital, some people are more susceptible to getting drunk than others – if you’re plump, short and happen to be of the fairer sex, approach that drink with caution.

If you are prone to getting drunk easily, eating fatty foods can help. It slows down the release of alcohol into the small intestines, which makes you less likely to get drunk.

With all the festive parties coming up, it’s important to drink in moderation for a less embarrassing and safer night out!
